Robin and Linda Williams: Holiday Greetings: 2008

Dear Friends,
Holiday Greetings from Robin and Linda. We don't usually send out more than one email a month (we are conscious of not wanting to wear out our welcome), but the holiday season is special. As well, we have a gig cancellation to note and, since our email list is not geographically specific, this is the only way to get the news out.

First, the gig that has been cancelled is the December 21st gig in Baltimore. The info on the last email is as follows: - "Baltimore, MD - Kraushaar Auditorium, Goucher College, 1021 Dulaney Valley Road (co-bill with Christine Lavin and David Grisman and John Sebastian) - 3:00 p.m and 7:30 p.m. - www.missiontix.com." We always hate to have gigs disappear, but sometimes there's nothing we can do about it. We just hope it hasn't caused any inconvenience for those of you who planned on attending.

We have just finished up our Holiday shows and thoroughly enjoyed them. The material is wonderful and the shows are so pleasurable and interesting for us. Of special note is a review of our Christmas CD, "The First Christmas Gift," in which the reviewer says: "Threads that bring all the stories together are found in 'On a Quiet Christmas Morn,' as the couple reaches into the holiday hush for the connection to love that lives within in it. They then send listeners on their way to celebration with the closing song, 'Mary Had A Baby.' It⤁s a collection to keep, and to sing along with, on long winter nights as the holiday draws near." Those are nice words for us to read and, if anyone is interested, "The First Christmas Gift" can be ordered off our web site, www.robinandlinda.com.

Now we're getting ready to go to NYC for a couple of A Prairie Home Companion shows after which we'll come home and spend Christmas with our friends. Then we'll join the cavalcade of stars for the 12th annual Tribute to Hank Williams shows. They are always entertaining and spontaneous.

Our latest CD, "Buena Vista," continues to get good airplay. It was the second most played CD on the November Folk-DJ list. Thanks to you all for your support.

Lastly, we hope you all have a wonderful, stress-free holiday season. We hope that you're all surrounded by those you love and those that love you. We're looking to 2009 with confidence and trust that the goodness in us all will guide us in the future.

Your pals,
Robin and Linda
